A bit about me: Started off playing at school during the lunch hour, where we used to host shubeens in the classrooms. The teachers tried to put a stop to it, so we just kept moving classrooms until they provided us with a lunchtime disco.

When I left school, I started up the sound called Black Star Liner in 1975. Disbanded Black Star Liner and rebranded in 1981 as First Choice. Also had a spell selecting for Exodus Sound in the late ’80s. Started radio with RJR and the rest is history.
